USING THE LOCATION RESOURCES
ON-LINE LOCATION LIBRARY:
FOR FIRST TIME USERS:

1. Go to www.locationresources.com
2. Choose LOCATION LIBRARY tab from top of page
3. Click on the NOT REGISTERED YET? line to register
4. You will see our Site Terms of Agreement. You have the option of agreeing
at this point, or clicking in the link to review the full text.
5. The next screen is where we capture your basic contact info. This is
where we get your personal and/or your company contact information
and later on we will ask for production contacts and details. The email
and password you select shall be your access for all projects
and you should choose an easy to remember password. Hint: If you plan
on allowing others to access and search using your account, choose a password
that you would want them to have. See the section below SHARING LOCATIONS
for info on allowing your clients or associates to access your selections.
6. After completing your User Registration, you will be brought to a page
that will allow you to review/edit or confirm your information. When you
are satisfied, click SIGN ME UP
7. At the next page click on CLICK HERE TO BEGIN
8. Next screen is the USER CONTROL PANEL. This is your central project
management screen, and from here you can manage your projects.
9. From the USER CONTROL PANEL choose CREATE NEW PROJECT
10. At this point you will be presented with our Terms/Conditions/Fees.
Review and scroll through and at the bottom of the page click
on the agreement button to proceed
11. This will bring you to the PROJECT REGISTRATION FORM Please
fill out as completely as possible. When you are done go to the
bottom of page to submit.
12. At the next screen choose BROWSE LOCATIONS
13. Now you are at our search page and can start your location file search.
You will see easy instructions on how to search using either a search
term or pull-down menus.
14. When you find a location that you would like to review click
on the thumbnail to open a 2nd window, which will allow you to review
the full file/all photos.
15. If you want to add a location to your project click on ADD
THIS LOCATION button in the upper right-hand corner of this window
16. When this location has been added to you project you will see a SUCCESS
screen confirming it has been saved to your project. Then click on the
CLOSE button at the bottom which will bring you back to the main
search page.
17. You can search and add locations with no limit on time or amount of
locations. Please note that after 30 min. your session on-line
may time-out, at which point you will have sign back into our web page
to navigate to your project.
18. After you add your last location click on the VIEW PROJECT
LIST link in the grey bar at the upper right-hand corner of the page.
19. At the next screen you will see three buttons one that will
allow you to keep searching, one that will allow you to finalize your
project submission, and another which will allow you to edit your project
submission form (use this is the project has already been submitted).
If you are finished searching locations, choose FINALIZE PROJECT
SUBMISSION.
20. Then you will be able to fill out PROJECT SUBMISSION FORM that should
be completed as thoroughly as possible. Info here (such as budget, dates,
crew size, etc) can make a big difference as it will help us clear your
selected locations, and help avoid any surprises/problems down the
road.
21. When this form is completed (by clicking on button at bottom of page)
your location choices will be emailed to staff at Location Resources.
We will contact you to begin clearing/coordinating your selected
locations.
At this point your account is now active, and at any time you can search
for more locations or change project information. You simply go back to
our website to the LOCATION LIBRARY tab and sign in. You will
be directed to the USER CONTROL PANEL from where you can manage your
account.
TIP FOR FREQUENT USERS

For our clients who use our library often, a new project page
needs to be created for each new job. This will allow you to manage/review
several differing projects and their content individually. Should you
give your client access to your account, they will be directed to their
specific project & location selections. To start a new project once
you are registered, sign in and at the USER CONTROL PANEL choose CREATE
NEW PROJECT
ADD/REMOVE/EDIT

To add, remove or edit locations or update project details, please access
your project by signing into our site. Once at the User Client Panel you
can manage your project.
SHARING LOCATION SELECTIONS
WITH
YOUR CLIIENTS AND OTHERS:
This is a preferred method of showcasing your location selections to a
client or director/photographer for review and feedback.
This page is a great way to presents locations, and also supports multiple
viewers simultaneously. Please note from here they will be unable
to search or remove locations.
This also allows our frequent on-line users to maintain confidentiality
between projects (Client A will not be able to access or review locations
for Client B). If you want them to be able to search on-line, you will
need to give them your account and password and have them sign-in to the
Locations Library.
After a project has been registered on-line and locations are selected
1. Send this link http://shared.locationresources.com
2. Direct viewers to enter the project name in the field as instructed
(spelling and punctuation important)
3. Instruct them to click on project name at next screen
4. When they see the thumbnails list they can double click on
each one to open complete file.
